Our Mission

At Holmwood Adult and Senior Services, our mission is to provide unparalleled home care services that promote dignity, independence, and a higher quality of life for our clients. We aim to change the story on how our aging population of LGBTQIA plus population is changing by training our staff on LGBTQIA plus rights. We also aim to provide comprehensive, personalized care tailored to everyone’s needs without fear of discrimination of a person’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or health status.

Our Story

Rooted in Compassion, Growing Through Care

Holmwood Adult and Senior Services was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: everyone deserves to age with dignity, comfort, and the care they need to thrive at home. What began as a heartfelt mission to support families in caring for their loved ones has grown into a trusted home care provider rooted in compassion, reliability, and excellence.

Our journey started with the vision of creating a service that felt less like a company and more like a family—one that prioritizes human connection, honors individual stories, and adapts to the unique needs of every client. Today, our dedicated team of caregivers continues that legacy, providing personalized, high-quality support that promotes independence and improves quality of life.

Meet the Owner

Winona Campbell

CEO, Holmwood Adult and Senior Services

Winona Campbell is the founder of Holmwood Adult and Senior Servies. Winona was raised by her grandmother in Jamaica and after coming to the US, she joined the military and later worked as a CNA and then as an LPN. Her patients encouraged her to go back to school, and she went on to receive her BSN in nursing. During her years working in nursing homes and rebab facilities she witnessed blatant disparity and often discrimination towards LGBTQ plus folks. Winona knew her safe space and inclusion advocacy would be more effective in management and leadership position. Winona decided to go back to school where she received her MBA in healthcare administration.

Winona was nominated by her peers as the “nurse whom you would want to take care of you if you were sick”. She also worked in the Spaulding’s healthcare system for many years and was nominated for the John Means Spencer Caregiver Award. This award is given to caregivers who embrace teamwork to achieve the best patient outcomes, who also displays extraordinary compassion in caring for patients and who exemplifies the values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence in all they do. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking and making films.
